Ever wanted to sail the high seas in search of copious amounts of treasure along with your mates? Can’t afford your own old-timey ship? Then Rare’s new co-op game is for you. The developer has released the launch trailer for their new sailing, treasure hunting, and rum drinking co-op pirate game, Sea of Thieves.
Sea of Thieves sees you teaming up with a bunch of scallywags (i.e your friends) and setting sail on the high seas in search of adventure and, of course, booty (all the adventuring doesn’t come cheap). But be warned as the path to untold riches is fraught with dangers as you are not the only ones looking to get rich. Face off against other groups of players in ship-to-ship battles as you try to see who will end up in Davey Jones’ locker first.
Microsoft has announced that the game will feature cross-platform play between the Xbox One and PC, so no excuses not to set sail with your PC loving friends. The game recently had a closed beta back in January with the overall feedback being quite positive and suitably piratey.
