Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will be based on the highly popular Cartoon Network series and will be heavily intertwined with the series’ finale, which aired on Adult Swim in 2017.
The game will follow Jack’s journey after defeating his nemesis, Aku. As the demon lays dying, he changes the course of Jack’s time portal. This sends the cartoon samurai back to where he first entered the future.
Of course, this means that fans will be able to relive and play through all of Jack’s greatest adventures. Ashi, Jack’s love interest introduced in season 5, is also set to play a pivotal role in the game’s narrative.
The other good news is that several of the series voice actors will lend their talents to the game, including the voice of Samurai Jack himself, Phil Lamarr.
Battle Through Time is being developed by Soleil, who worked on some of the previous Naruto games. According to the game’s website, Jack will be able to equip various weapons and unlock different skills in order to help him overcome his foes.
Judging from the trailer, the game will follow the series’ distinct and much-loved art style closely, which is sure to please fans who grew up watching the show.
