Over the past few months, news has been hotting up about Samsung’s foldable smartphone, the Galaxy F.
Since November, after Samsung’s CEO, DJ Koh, officially announced that they were indeed working on a foldable smartphone, there has been daily news, rumours and fan renditions of the elusive device. The CEO also confirmed earlier this year that the launch of the device was still months away, instead focusing on the upcoming launch of the Galaxy S10 at their first Unpacked event for 2019.
In an interesting twist, it seems that Samsung Vietnam may have “leaked” the smartphone in their latest teaser trailer for the upcoming event later this month.
The teaser doesn’t explicitly confirm the device that appears in the video is the upcoming Galaxy F, but given the futuristic theme of the video and the likeliness to previously leaked mock-ups of the said device, it’s very possible that it could be.
In addition to the folding smartphone from the video, there are also a host of other technological advances that haven’t yet been invented, including glass wall displays, a three-panel gesture-based mirror and a remote robot arm controlled via a tablet and a pen, to name a few. It would seem that the edge-to-edge tablet that is also thrown into the ad could signify Samsung’s future tech, namely the Galaxy F.
