One of the greatest mysteries of recent gaming is what superhero game RockSteady is working on next? Initially, it was thought that the team was working on a Superman game, but recent rumours have been hinting at something much bigger, a fully-fledged Justice League game.
This is quite a big deal as DC fans have been asking for a Justice League game for quite some time, and who better to develop it than the guys behind the Arkham series?
Recent leaks, which first appeared on 4Chan and then Reddit, suggest that RockSteady is working on the title. According to the leaks, the game takes place in the Arkham universe and is rumoured to be a single player/co-op game where players will be able to switch between the various members of the league freely, including Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, The Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern and Aquaman.
Players will not only be forced to stick to one city and will be able to travel to well-known locations such as Metropolis and Keystone. So, who will the League be facing off? The leaks reveal that Starro will be the main bad guy, you know the mind-controlling Starfish from space. The leak also states that the game takes place early in the superheroes careers, meaning that most of them have not reached the height of popularity one would expect.
The Justice League game is also rumoured to have some sort of multiplayer component. The game is also rumoured to be released in 2020 on the PC and next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Scarlet).
Before you get too excited, it’s important to note that this is just a rumour and that nothing has been confirmed by either RockSteady or Warner Bros. So take this with a large grain of salt.
Even still, it would be great to have a Justice League game.
