There have been quite a few times in my life where I’ve witnessed something so ridiculous that it made me wonder how the human race became the dominant species (I’m still rooting for Sharks though). The latest TV spot for the Xbox One X featuring former MMA champion Ronda Rousey and Conan O’ Brien is one of those times.
The two-minute segment, which was paid for by Microsoft to promote the Xbox One X, sees Conan bring both Ronda and a friend on stage to duke it out on the new console and to demonstrate just how it feels to experience true 4K gaming. A few seconds later and we witness what can only be described as a terrible madness inducing attempt at marketing as Ronda punches the “unsuspecting” guy right in the crown jewels. Now, I’m no expert but if experiencing true 4K gaming on a Xbox One X feels like being punched in the junk (and being beaten up by Conan ‘O Brien) then sign me up for the PlayStation 4 Pro.
The Xbox One X is considered the most powerful console currently on the market and is available now in the U.S. It’s heading to South Africa in the coming month.
That’s the most cringeworthy promo known to man.
