Wait… Superman is the bad guy in Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game?
After months and months of speculation, Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios has finally revealed what their next project: a Suicide Squad game.
The reveal comes via a tweet showing a picture of a decrepit-looking Superman (Or could that be Bizarro?) with a Suicide Squad logo on his head.
According to the tweet, we will find out more about the mysterious game, and hopefully get to see it in action, during DC’s virtual fan DC Fandome event, which will take place on the 22nd of August 2020.

Earlier this year, rumours started circulating that the studio was working on a new game involving the titular team. The rumours also mentioned that the phrase SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com was registered as a domain.
At the time it seemed a bit far fetched, with fans suspecting the team could be working on a new Superman or Batman game. However, judging from the image in the tweet, it seems the rumours might prove to be true.
Of course, if the rumours prove true then both the Dark Knight and Superman could feature in the game, which, you would agree, would be amazing.
Since David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film released in 2016, the The Suicide Squad anti-heroes have grown in popularity. James Gunn is currently working on a reboot or sequel for the film, which will return Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.
The Suicide Squad, also known as Suicide Squad 2, is expected to arrive 6 August 2021. The Suicide Squad game will be announced on 22nd August.
