The movie’s star was as spotted among the crew filming outside St George’s Hall opposite Lime Street station, which is doubling for Gotham City Hall.

The photos show Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne wearing a black suit in a scene of mourners at a funeral – with dozens of extras involved.
According to reports, approximately one hundred background actors will be filming in these scenes which are being shot in the city all week. However, all crowd extras wore their masks between takes for health and safety reasons.

Other actors could be seen hanging from nearby monuments holding placards, emblazoned with slogans like “Lies, lies, lies” and “Our day of judgment”.
How the protestors fit into the story is not clear at this time, although one shot shows a picture of actor Rupert Penry-Jones as the person in the coffin. Who Penry-Jones is playing is still unconfirmed, but some fans have speculated that he is Gotham Mayor Don Mitchell Jr, and he could be among the first victims of Paul Dano’s The Riddler.

Zoe Kravitz and John Turturro can also be seen in other images.
The Batman will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. Director, Matt Reeves has also said the film will have a connection to 1987’s iconic Year One comic book story arc by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli.
