Get ready to grab your spiked baseball and head out on the open road as brutal ’90s motorcycle combat game Road Rash makes a comeback, albeit under a new name.
The 90s was the best time. Many have fond memories of bashing their opponent with a chain or the above-mentioned baseball bat in Road Rash. Now, thanks to Pixel Studios, we’ll be able to experience this once again. Originally starting life out as a crowdfunded project, the aptly named Road Redemption sees players once again beating the crap out of their opponents while driving at high speeds.
Of course, Road Redemption will be getting some much-needed upgrades, such as shinier graphics and new weapons. However, the basic mechanics of Road Rash, which includes pulling up next to your opponent and beating them with whatever is at hand, still remains.
The game is set for release in October 2017 and will even feature 4-player split-screen combat for those looking to challenge their friends. We can’t wait to play it again!
