What do you get when you combine a well-known survival horror series and some singing?
Well, you get the Resident Evil musical, coming to Japan later this year. The musical will be directed by playwright G2, with Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi overseeing the production. This isn’t the first time that Capcom has dipped their toe into the musical genre as they have previously been part of musicals based on its Pheonix Wright series of games.
The musical will star Reo Yuzuki, who is best know as a female actor who portrays mostly male characters in the show, Takarazuka Revue.
The Resident Evil musical will run from September to October in Tokyo after which it will move to Osaka in November. So book those airplane tickets if you don’t live in Japan and want to go watch this unique musical.
