For those cowboys out there who couldn’t wait to don their ten-gallon hat and pull out their six-shooters again, there is some good news. Rockstar Games have finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2.
Rockstar Games has confirmed via their official blog that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be heading to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 26th of October 2018. The developer also apologised for the various delays, although they did admit that these delays will give them the necessary time to improve the game.
“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 2018,” it said. We apologise to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.”
Say what you will about Rockstar Games but their games all tend to be highly polished. The game developer went on to say that fans will realise that Red Dead Redemption 2 was worth the wait when it finally releases. Judging by their track record, I tend to believe the studio.
It seems we’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more in the coming weeks as Rockstar also teased gamers by revealing that they will be sharing a lot more about the highly anticipated game soon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow a brand new protagonist, Arthur Morgan, an outlaw and member of the tough as nails and deadly Van der Linde gang.
