It’s almost time to grab your six-shooter and ten-gallon hat and mosey on down to the local place of ill repute in Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar has announced that they will be releasing a companion app for the game.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app will release the same day as the game and will supply the player with real-time information. You will be able to view the game’s world map, set waypoints (so you don’t get lost in the wilds and get eaten by a bear), and even see real-time information about protagonist Authur’s health, stamina and other important stats.
The app will include a digital version of the game manual and will even help track in-game journal entries. The app will make it easier for those who want a more immersive experience to use a minimal HUD display while still getting the information they need from their smartphone or tablet.
Early reviews suggest that Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best games of this gaming era. Luckily, we don’t have to wait long to experience this for ourselves as the game releases on the 26th of October 2018 (which just happens to be tomorrow).
