For many, it’s been a long wait but it seems that Psychonauts 2 is slowly but surely taking shape and it looks gorgeous.
The latest Psychonauts 2 dev video sees director Tim Schafer and project lead Zak McClendon showing off one of the game’s first playable areas. While it’s still in pre-alpha, it already looks gorgeous. In the video, we see protagonist Raz using double jumping and a few other tricks to safely traverse the environment’s hazards. McClendon estimates that the chunk of shown in the video represents about an hour and a half of playtime.
The original game released way back in 2005 and featured the game’s protagonist Raz on a mission to save his friends using his psychic abilities. The game quickly gained a cult following with Psychonauts 2 being on many most anticipated games lists.
