A game many fans have anxiously been waiting for is Psychonauts 2, the sequel to one of the most underrated games ever, in my humble opinion. Luckily, developer Double Fine released a new trailer for the game at The Game Awards, which has us even more excited to finally play the game.
The Psychonauts 2 trailer shows off some light gameplay and focuses on the Motherlobe, a fortress filled with mind secrets and where an international group of super psychic spies reside. It seems the Motherlobe isn’t all that it seems as it has its own share of secrets and dangers to contend with.
The game has been in development for quite some time, after it was successfully backed on Fig in 2016. Fans have been asking for a sequel for years and it seems we are closer than ever to seeing that wish realised.
While there is no official release date yet for Psychonauts 2, the trailer does reveal that it would most probably be released sometime in 2019.
