It’s official. There is literally a simulator game out there for every available job. Don’t believe me? Well, say hello to Priest Simulator, a game as much about preaching as it is about battling those pesky demons.
Priest Simulator is a first-person game developed by Delirma studio. Basically, as the name suggests, the game sees you taking on the role of a priest in a village. It’s up to you to perform sermons, visit the sick, and perform exorcisms and battle demons. You know, everyday priest stuff.
The game will take place in an open-world with players able to complete various side quests, no doubt involving some praying and slaying.
According to the press release and trailer, players will have to learn to thread the fine path between good and evil, which could see them choosing the lesser of two evils. As you perform your daily duties, you’ll earn money which you can use to upgrade your car, parish and holy weapons (every priest needs those).
Judging by some of the crude (and somewhat distasteful) humour in the trailer, Priest Simulator does remind us a bit of the first person Postal games.
