After looking forward and waiting patiently for the ambitious sci-fi exploration game No Man’s Sky to release, it seems we might need to be patient a little longer.
It has been revealed by sources close to Kotaku that No Man’s Sky’s release might be pushed back to July or August. The game was originally planned to launch on the 21st of June 2016.
This is backed up by a second source working at the retailer GameStop, who said that their stores were instructed to cover up any mention of the 21st of June release date and rather use the term “coming soon” on all marketing materials.
This is disappointing news as we can’t wait to get our hands on the game. This said I would rather wait a month or two and have a near perfectly working game at launch than having a game full of bugs. In the end, Hello Games need to do what is best for the game.
