A brand new trailer for the upcoming WWE 2K20 has been released, and it gives us a look at the game’s MyCareer mode and its story.
The WWE 2K20 MyCareer Mode will allow players to take control of Tre and Red, who are lifelong friends. The team has a dream to become the best wrestlers in the WWE and will do whatever it takes to work their way from the bottom up to the top. The story kicks off with the pair reminiscing about their past as they are about to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Players will get to experience the duo’s rise to the top and relive all the trials and tribulations they faced off along the way. While it does seem that the narrative will stay mostly grounded (well, as grounded as a WWE game can), there will be a section in the game where the duo goes in search of the Undertaker. This section seems to take more liberties with the story and seems, at least judging from the trailer, to include some weirdness. Players will have to enter through a portal in order to find the Undertaker. Where exactly this portal will lead we have no idea but expect it to be all kinds of weird.
2K also revealed that the game mode will include multiple endings along with its new focus on both male and female career modes. The Career mode wall last about 20 hours and will see players switching between the game’s two protagonists. There will be a total of 18 chapters and over a 100 matches for Tre and Red to compete in.
