CBS has unveiled the logo for the new STAR TREK television series in a short promo clip.
Releasing in 2017, Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) is on board as executive producer/show runner, Alex Kurtzman (the co-writer of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness) as executive producer and Nicholas Meyer as writer and consulting producer. Filming on the new Star Trek series will begin this fall. Not much is known about the new series outside of its early marketing efforts. Listen out for Alexander Courage’s iconic Star Trek theme.
The premiere episode of the new Star Trek series will air on both CBS All Access and CBS, with all subsequent first-run episodes available exclusively in the United States on CBS All Access.
