Blizzard has revealed that Overwatch will receive its first post-launch map called Eichenwalde.
Eichenwalde is a castle village in Germany, that feels distinctly medieval especially with the castle looming above the roofs of the houses. The map seems to consist of a lot more vertical spaces, this could make for some interesting matches. It is an Assault/Escort Hybrid as the attacking team needs to escort a battering ram in order to break down the castle gates so that they can reclaim the remains of the Crusader’s leader Balderich von Adler.
No announcement has been made of an exact date that we can expect the new map, although Blizzard will probably reveal a release date soon.
