In the new Outriders trailer, we get an overview of the games narrative and mission structure.
The developer also revealed that the game will have 90-minutes of story-based cutscenes, with a further 2 hours which focuses on side characters and missions.
The trailer also reveals that Outriders side missions will have their own unique areas on the map. This means that if players skip these side missions, they may never see those areas during their playthrough. Side missions can be complete at any time, with difficulty and rewards being scaled according to the player’s character.
If the side content is skipped, the main game will take around 25-30 hours to complete.
Although the game may look like an open-world game, it actually uses large maps connected with hubs and side areas. Each of the different zones will have their own towns and story missions.
Players will have access to their very own Outrider truck, a vehicle described by the developer as a moving RPG village. As you can guess, this probably means that it will function as a players hub where they can store or upgrade equipment. Players will also be able to customise their truck.
We also got a first-look at the Pyromancer class. As you can guess, this class is all about setting stuff on fire. This means that they specialise in causing damage to multiple enemies. The Pyromancer will have various fire-based abilities to help them dispose of their enemies.
