NetherRealm has released Shattered Alliances Pt. 2, the second part in the Injustice 2 trailer series. The new video reveals that Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Captain Cold, and Reverse-Flash will be joining the battle.
For those who missed Shattered Alliances Part 1, it showed Earth’s biggest threat, Superman’s regime, and their plans to rise to power again. In the new trailer, Superman tries to convince Batman of the benefits of killing off criminals. “How many more innocent people die before you accept that some lives need to be taken?” he yells at Batman. The trailer continues to show the conflict between Batman’s resistance and Superman’s regime.
Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favourites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.
Injustice 2 launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16.
