It’s been a while since we took on the forces of Hell but, according to a new Blizzard job listing, we might be heading back to take on some more creatures of darkness in a new Diablo game.
The job listing on the Blizzard website is for a dungeon artist, specifically someone who will be working on the Diablo franchise. While the listing mentions that the studio is working on a new “unannounced Diablo project”, whether this could mean new DLC for Diablo III or a completely new entry in the franchise is yet to be seen. What do know is that Blizzard is working on something Diablo related and that’s enough to get us excited.
According to what little we can gather from the listing, it seems the new project will still focus on killing stuff and collecting sweet, sweet loot as it also mentions that “the ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about working on the dark gothic world of Diablo, making great games, killing millions of monsters and getting loot”. That sounds just perfect to us.
Hopefully, we might hear more of this mysterious project at E3 2018 although Blizzard has yet to confirm whether it will make any announcements during the expo.
Earlier this year, a report suggested that the action RPG might be heading to the Switch, which we really hope is true. However, as with most rumours, this is yet to be confirmed.
Diablo III first released all the way back in 2012, so it’s about time we head back to Hell to defeat its forces good old with magic and steel. What would you like to see in a new entry into the franchise?
