Huzzah! After releasing a short teaser trailer for Borderlands 3, developer Gearbox Software has finally released a new trailer that gives us a look at some of the gameplay.
Many may say that the new Borderlands 3 trailer seems like more of the same. However, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing because over-the-top action and guns are what fans of the series absolutely love about the franchise. That, at least according to the trailer, seems to be front and centre in the new game. There’s bright colours, fast and menacing vehicles, strange creatures, stranger enemies, powerful abilities, and guns, so many guns.
Gearbox Software didn’t reveal much about the story or even the characters players will be able to choose (although Lilith, Maya, Brick, Mordecai and Zer0 are in the trailer), and this feels like a missed opportunity. Sure, fans love the fact that the game seems to still have many of the classic elements present, however, we were expecting a bit more.
The market is currently flooded with post-apocalyptic first-person shooters. Will Borderlands 3 be able to stand out in the crowd?
Gearbox has also announced that a free texture upgrade pack is coming out for existing Borderlands games owners on April 3rd.
