Last month saw the announcement of the Mythic Royale 2022 event. This announcement was combined with the opening of entries for the Apex Legends registration for the tournament. With that battle set to conclude on 15 May 2022, it’s time to open registration for the Fortnite series.
The event, which was sponsored by MSI, Redragon, Antec, Crucial and ACGL, has announced the first Fortnite tournament series for the 2022 edition. Mythic Royale 2022 ups the ante with its prize pool of a whopping R500,000 in cash and products for Fortnite and Apex Legends players and supporters.
The Spoils of War
The Mythic Royale 2022 Fortnite tournament will take place in the form of a Duos Series. The series starts off with a guaranteed R15,000 cash prize pool. As with the previous tournament, this prize pool can be boosted by an additional R10,000. This can be achieved via various community goals.
Additionally, a further R2,000 cash will be added to the tournament’s prize pool for each of the community goals achieved over the course of the event. This will run from 11 May to 19 June 2022. The community goals include, amongst others:
- Social media reach above 1 million via the #MythicRoyale hashtag
- Each qualifier reaching at least 40 confirmed duos
- 150 retweets on Twitter of the announcement video
- 100+ concurrent viewers on the live stream
- 100+ Fortnite match finder matches completed
Further to this, there are also possibilities to win your share of around R35,000 worth of products each month. This will be managed via the Loot system on ACGL, as well as via the social media platforms and via the live stream event.
In order to be eligible for these Loot giveaways, users will need to register on the ACGL site and earn Embers. These will be rewarded for every match completed on the site. The more you enter, the higher your chances of winning prizes.
The Bus Will Soon Depart the Station
Registrations for the Mythic Royale Fortnite Duos Series is now open. If you wish to register, simply visit the official tournament page and sign up.
The first qualifiers are around the corner, starting Sunday, 22 May 2022. This will run for a few weeks leading up to the finals on 19 June 2022.

Mythic Royale Fortnite Tournament Dates
With the tournament kickstarting on Sunday, 22 May, the series will stream every Sunday until the final. The dates for each are as follows:
- 22 May 2022: Qualifier 1
- 29 May 2022: Qualifier 2
- 5 June 2022: Qualifier 3
- 12 June 2022: Qualifier 4
- 19 June 2022: Final
