Prime 1 Studios has released promotional images for their 1:3 scale Museum Masterline series deluxe Joker figure, which is based upon the 2019 Oscar-winning film starring Joaquin Phoenix, Joker. Amazingly, the statue captures every detail of Arthur Fleck, from his uncomfortable grin to his desperate eyes.
While comic book films and toys usually go hand-in-hand, that wasn’t the case for DC’s Joker film. With dark, gritty, and violent themes, Warner Bros. wasn’t expecting to sell a lot of toys. Hence, there aren’t many Joker figures based on the film out there.
In steps Blitzway and Prime 1 Studios. Their Museum Masterline series, which has gained popularity amongst serious collectors, hopes to offer true fans of the film something extra special. Through close cooperation and developmental exchanges throughout the entire production process, the team describes the Joker figure (which weighs 15kg and stands 70cm high) as a “beautiful piece of art”.
“Starting from the very small details, we poured all of our efforts into recreating the appearance of Joker, including the vivid facial expressions, costumes that have been realistically scaled-down, a diorama base that has been designed from the iconic scenes of the movie, and main props that can connect the fragments of the movie that exists in the memories of the fans,” explains prime1studio.com.
The set, which includes interchangeable hands and nine different props, also includes a bonus Clown Mask (as seen in the film) as a pre-order bonus for those who purchase early.
The collectable is priced at $1,299 (around R24 000 at the current exchange rate).
