The Perry Files

Genre: ,
Age Restriction:
Studio: Disney
Running Time: 154 mins

Verdict: 2.5 / 5

The weird and kooky humor of Phineas and Ferb has made it a fan favorite amongst viewers of all ages; and brings more teenagers than would admit it to the Disney channel. The stand out character is of course the voiceless Perry the Platypus, who has a secret identity as Agent P, battling the nefarious Professor Doofenschmirtz (and can you believe I remembered how to spell that from memory). In this DVD collecting episodes from season 2 and 3, you’ll see Perry as the focus of attention, in some of his most memorable cases.

The Perry Files

Employed by an organization that somehow only has agents who are animals wearing spy hats, each week Perry must foil a new plot of some kind or another. Episodes such as the one were Doofenschmirtz battles “Petey the Potted Plant” have cemented this series in my mind as being the kind of absurdist humor I really enjoy. There’s two and a half hours’ worth of footage on this collection, so even if you don’t enjoy it that much, you can rent it for any young people in the vicinity to keep them occupied, and I believe you will be far more entertained than if you had rented any other children’s entertainment for the evening, like Twilight.
