It’s not hard to imagine. In fact, it’s the perfect fit. The Boys’ Homelander deserves a place in NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 12 — even if it is just as a DLC character.
How cool would that be?
Homelander + Mortal Kombat 12 = The Perfect Fit

It’s been three years since the release of Mortal Kombat 11, and there’s little doubt about it – NetherRealm Studios must be working on the next instalment of their long-running, ultraviolent brawler. As sure as the sun will rise, there must always be a new Mortal Kombat game to start each console generation properly, and both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S could do with a new entry in the series to flex their ray-traced muscles.
Even though the Mortal Kombat series is incredibly iconic in its own right, the latest entries in the franchise have been a sort of battle royale of some of the most iconic film and TV icons in pop culture history. That’s why we’ve seen some of the most unexpected characters joining the cast of Kombatants since Mortal Kombat 9.
So far, the likes of Terminator, Robocop, a Xenomorph from Alien, Predator, and even the Joker have been added to the Mortal Kombat mythos. Still, there’s a certain limit to what you can do with an extremely violent franchise like Mortal Kombat. It’s not like they can just put someone like Luke Skywalker in the game just for him to be violently eviscerated by Sub-Zero.
What we need is a character that belongs to a top-rated pop culture franchise that rivals in violent content with Mortal Kombat. What we need is the Homelander.
The Boys X MK12

This sadistic Superman satire wouldn’t feel out of place within the Mortal Kombat realm. After all, Homelander can be even more bloodthirsty than even the most savage Netherrealm denizens, and the best part is that, thematically, he’d fit right in with the other Kombatants.
The Boys wasn’t always a hit Amazon Prime Video show. As most fans know, the story originates from the comic book series written by Garth Ennis, which presents a version of Homelander that’s more or less the same as the one we got in the live-action adaptation. Well, perhaps even a little less evil overall.
Following the style of the DLC characters we’ve seen in the previous two Mortal Kombat titles, Homelander would be the perfect choice to star as one of the additional characters. It would also be the closest we could get to seeing Superman from Injustice making a cameo in Mortal Kombat.
Sure, the two games are developed by NetherRealm Studios, but something tells us that the big-wigs over at Warner Bros. wouldn’t be too pleased with seeing Superman vaporizing the face of another character. Homelander, on the other hand? He does that every Tuesday.
The Rights

Another reason why Homelander in Mortal Kombat 12 makes sense is that, from a franchising point of view, it wouldn’t be too hard for NetherRealm to acquire the rights for the supe to appear in their new fighting game. The original The Boys comic books were published by Wildstorm Productions, which just so happens to be a DC Comics imprint.
While some might say that it would be more plausible for Homelander to come to the next Injustice game instead of Mortal Kombat, we beg to disagree. As good as the Injustice series might be for a superhero brawler, it pales in comparison to Mortal Kombat when it comes to the over-the-top levels of violence we saw in the more recent entries.
That kind of mindless, borderline repugnant level of excessive gore is just the kind of environment where we would love to see Homelander. Also, for the love of all that is holy, let Anthony Starr be the voice and face of Homelander if he ever comes to Mortal Kombat. The Boys fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
Would you like to see The Boys’ Homelander in Mortal Kombat 12 or Injustice 3?

Here’s a revolutionary idea: stop putting stupid guest characters in the series and instead either have more of the ‘3D Era’ characters featured, or create new ones. Oh, and there’s an option 3: focus instead on creating a coherent, quality story with whatever you have at the moment.
Hey They should put Omni-Man too that would be really Cool..
I think black noir would be a better fit than homelander because black noir is the only person in the seven that’s knows how to actually fight. Homelander doesn’t know how to fight. Which means he wouldn’t have any combos
