NetherRealm has released a new story trailer for the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 11 which gives us a taste of the game’s time-bending story.
The new Mortal Kombat 11 trailer is an action-packed, time-bending affair that features some familiar faces from the games past and present. It seems Raiden’s fight against evil has angered Kronika, the game’s antagonist, upsetting the fine balance between good and evil. This prompts her to try and bring balance back again by rewriting everything.
Of course, this is just an excuse to see some fighters from Mortal Kombat‘s past beating up combatants from the present. It’s up to literally everyone from the series’ history to band together and stop Kronika.
This explains why we see two Johnny Cages in the trailer (as if one isn’t enough). The trailer also shows off some more gruesome moves and also an appearance by Kotal Khan. It’s an all-out war between the forces of good and bad.
The stakes are high, the fatalities are bloody, and the combo’s earth-shattering. We can’t wait to get our hands on Mortal Kombat 11 when it finally releases on the 23rd of April 2019 for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
