Adapting comics and games for film and television is becoming a trend that isn’t going away anytime soon, and it seems that the next in line to be adapted will be Mirror’s Edge.
Not only have games like Angry Birds, Ratchet and Clank and even Warcraft been adapted for the big screen, but it seems everyone’s favourite free runner will be getting her own televisions series. It was reported by Deadline that Endemol Studios had acquired the rights to adapt Mirror’s Edge for television.
Sharon Hall, President of Endemol Shine Studios is really exited to bring a strong female protagonist to television audiences.
“We clearly see Mirror’s Edge as a franchise for the global TV audience. It has a strong female protagonist, a wildly rabid fan base and a worldwide brand that Electronic Arts and EA DICE have done an amazing job establishing.”
No news yet on when we can expect to see Faith gracing our televisions screen.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst launches in June on PlayStaion 4, Xbox One and PC.
