Microsoft has revealed their latest eye-catching and surprisingly striking controller called the Phantom Black.
Microsoft’s new Phantom Black controller might at first seem like your standard Xbox One controller until you take a closer look. The controller features a transparent black design, which reveals the inner workings and fades into a metallic champagne gold. The controller comes with standard Bluetooth support and 3.5mm jack for your wireless headset. Microsoft has been very consistent when it comes to their controller designs with each new variant released having its own unique look and feel. The latest controller has a very subtle yet striking design and we have to say that we really like it. We’ve already touched upon how we think Sony is lagging behind when it comes to controller designs and now Microsoft has once again shown why they earn top marks when it comes to its designs.
Microsoft isn’t the only one jumping aboard the translucent controller bandwagon as Sony recently revealed the limited edition transparent console and matching DualShock 4 controller.
The Xbox One Phantom Black controller is already up for pre-order and will set you back $70. The devices are planned to ship on the 11th of September.
