Sony has released a brand spanking new trailer for the gorgeously animated Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse animated film featuring a host of new web-slingers.
The latest Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse trailer introduces us to the rest of the web-slingers that will be joining Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson) and Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore). With various realities merging into one Peter Parker and Miles Morales are forced to team up with their fellow Spider-men (and women) to help save the day and defeat the evil Kingpin (voiced by Liev Schrieber).
The new trailer introduces us to Spider-Gwen (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), the Spider-mech riding Peni Parker (voiced by Kimiko Glenn), Spider-Man Noir (voiced by the one and only Nicolas Cage) and the anthropomorphic pig Spider-Ham (voiced by John Mulaney), jip you read right, that’s a pig with Spider-man powers. Kingpin doesn’t seem to be the only villains the team will be facing off against as the trailer gives us a glimpse of both Green Goblin and the Prowler.
The more we see of the film the more enamoured we are by just how good the animation looks. While Sony might not have always done justice to the Web-Head in the past, it looks like this time they are set to blow fans away. It’s great to see Sony giving not just Peter Parker and the other Spider-Men (and women) the chance to shine but also Miles Morales, who have crept into the hearts of Spider-Man fans over the years.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set for release in December 2018 and is being directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman and produced by the minds behind The Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
