I need a bb-8 in my life! I’m a huge star wars fan and believe I deserve the prize because I named my daughter after Rey! She’s one year old now….
I am a very huge fan of star wars because i love sci fi movies
Here’s a photo to add to my submission. My wife made it for me…. (I’ve managed to convert her into a lover of star wars too)
That IS the droid I am looking for!
May the Force BB8 Me
No picture or video could ever do justice to my love for all things Star wars, the only way I feel I can show you why I’m the biggest star wars fan is by trying to jot out in words everything that I feel (this is gonna be a long one!) Loving Star Wars can be misunderstood as simplistic but it’s so much more than that. It’s about friendship, for me Star Wars means more than who shot first, or doing Chewie impressions. It’s the universe that A New Hope started. And it’s being a kid with my friends, our imaginations fired by a galaxy far, far away. Leia was a role model – a strong lady who doesn’t take any BS and leads an army to freedom. It’s got the right formula of high stakes and action, romance and angst. It’s got funny characters, too, and classic tropes – and it’s infinitely entertaining. It was the first sci-fi franchise I ever watched. I was so young, I don’t remember my first time watching. I was raised on it. Leia was a different type of Princess than those in most movies shown to girls my age. She was a political & military leader. It showed me a girl who was like me: rough and tumble and loud and brash and demanding. That felt unique and rare at the time. Star Wars and Leia and Padme became fundamental parts of my childhood and identity. They showed me it was okay to just be me. Plus, laser swords and telekinesis and JEDI and battles in space. That was pretty cool too.I love Star Wars for the build-up. The joy of seeing a first trailer, for me, outstrips the experience of seeing the entire film that follows. No Star Wars movie can hope to completely match the feeling of watching the original trilogy, simply because you’re no longer a child but a grown up who knows Chewie is a man in a suit and that you’ve probably missed your chance to grow up to be an intergalactic bounty hunter. Everything you want is possible. You get fleeting reunions with favourite characters, hints of new ones to come, and for those moments the excitement is the one you remember from so long ago. It almost doesn’t matter what follows, that belief that something great might be coming is one of the best parts of being a film fan. And no series delivers that thrill like Star Wars. nothing can dull the child-like excitement the series has given me. We’ve adapted star wars, shared it  and consumed it, but now it lives inside us, between us, binding us together. Fan or not, Star Wars is part of me and you, and we are a part of it and you can’t avoid it. It is also so relevant: it is there to warn us about the dangers of fascism, to chide us for our greed, and remind us of the need for patience, balance with nature, and friendship.Star Wars confirms the eternal value of stories, our human ability to share our wisdom, and our willingness to settle down together in a dark place and have someone spin us a tale we already know. For me it’s  the most successful independent creative enterprise of all time. I’m fascinated by Star Wars because of what a world without Star Wars would look like. No Star Wars means no LucasFilm or LucasArts. Would JJ Abrams be making Star Trek movies, never mind Star Wars movies, without the hunt for the next space sensation that relaunched the franchise? Would Harrison Ford have become Hollywood’s most sought-after carpenter? One of many incredible things about Star Wars is that every time I think I’ve mapped out every aspect of how different a world without Star Wars would be, I think of something else. Star Wars is a celebration of all things good, of the good beating the evil. I hope that by reading this it’s shown you my passion and love for Star Wars and I hope that by sharing this with you, that I am worthy of such an incredible prize and that you would bestow upon me such a great an honour. I salute all of you at Fortress of Solitude with my lightsaber and may the Force be with you.
My husband and I are MASSIVE Star Wars fans :) To prove that we are the biggest Star Wars fans we made our very own mini fan! Since before he was born, Harvey knew about Star Wars. I hummed all the theme songs while he was in my belly. My baby shower was Star Wars themed. I made him a mobile with my favourite characters and decorated his room with Star Wars pictures and toys. When he was born his new born shoot was Star Wars themed. He has lots of Star Wars clothes. We count down his month-a-versaries with Star Wars stickers. For Christmas he had a special Darth Vader stocking. His granma is knitting him a Star Wars blanket for his birthday (it is going to be a masterpiece). I really hope that he continues to love Star Wars as much as we do as he grows older (if not he will have to be sent away to boarding school hahaha). It will be his first birthday in 6 weeks and I just know he would love his own Sphero BB8!! He is crawling around like a crazy baby at the moment so it would be super fun to make him chase it around the house. Plus it is almost my 30th birthday! At the top of my list is a trip to Disney World to join in the Star Wars celebrations. But closely following that is a Sphero BB8 (I have been hinting like crazy for years and had no luck so far!) I made a collage featuring all of the above… Here’s holding massive thumbs! May the Force be with me on this :)
Wow! What awesome prizes, would love to get my grubby fingers on either one of them :-)
I am the biggest star wars fan ever! – this is a pic of my tattoo about a day after having it done. If this doesn’t show you how much I love star wars than I don’t know what will. It is forever on me and will forever be a part of me – now and always #StarWarsDay #MayTheFourthBeWithYou #GalacticEmpire #JediOrder #RebelAlliance Fortress of Solitude
Oh, the 4th will forever be with me until the day I die because the 4th of May is my birthday. :)
I feel an disturbance in the 4th. Ha HA!
I’m 1 of the absolute biggest Star Wars fans i even had a Yoda cloak made for my son on his 1st Bday!!!! I also own every movie on Blu-Ray. #MayTheForceBeWithYou
No videos or photos could ever explain why I love Star Wars, I first fell in love with it as a younger child watching the prequels and the first trilogy. I’m a teenager now and I’m so happy that they are making more Star Wars films so I can have the full Star Wars experience in the theaters. I own every Star Wars film (expect Rogue One) and I also have lots of Funko Pops that are all Star Wars figures (I have 32 of them). I love Star Wars to death and I hope everyone enjoys May 4th. May the force be with you!
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. I made this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcC8mhdCSGg (Yes, I own the playsets and models!)

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds this!
Wooooooooooooo. Happy Star Wars day guys. Had to upload these two photos. The first is my small but growing collection of Star Wars collectibles. And the second was when my friends and I went to watch Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. (I was the Storm Trooper) Star Wars is awesome and I am a huge fan. May the force be with you.
These pics were taken during my visit in December at Disneyworld Hollywood Studios – when I was in USA, took the trip to Orlando specifically so I could visit the Star Wars area of that park. Yes, it was worth all of the republic credits.

I can tell you how I watched Return of The Jedi as an 11 year old at the local bio-scope (The Gem in Woodstock). How I was mesmerized by the locations, the weapons ( Luke’s lightsaber!), the space battles, the plot twists and turns – it was absolutely magical and transported me away from the despair of those dark pre-democracy years. My subsequent relationships with SW sticker books, figurines, comics, novels, VHS tapes, DVDs, etc, etc
Instead, here’s video clip of me at 45, Star Wars magic still got me acting like a kid!
Video features:
My baby daughter Mia Rey (name naturally inspired by Force Awakens – birth certificate attached) practicing her Jedi skill as an infant.
Chewie and Boba Fett flash drives
SW:Rebels hat and various t-shirts
My Prequel Trilogy, Original Trilogy, Force Awakens and Rebels discs
Ultimate Star Wars bible
Lightssaber
Vader money box ( yes the Empire encourages saving)
Various lightsaber moments ( including while riding an imaginary scooter and my road bike haha)
My older daughter Zoe force-pulling BB8
…and a very special May the Force be with you tribute right at the end – wait for it!
