Everyone’s favourite nanny returns this year in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns, a sequel to the magical 1964 classic, which picks up 20 years after the original. The first glimpse gives us an interesting sneak peek of what we can expect in the windy world of the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
In the first official clip of Mary Poppins Returns, we see the wind blowing through the streets and pulling a kite up into the skies. When a lamplighter struggles to the pull the kite down, he realises that Mary Poppins is attached to it.
The star-studded cast includes Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Mortimer, Ben Whishaw, Meryl Streep and Angela Lansbury.
In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
