Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers. We’ve seen everything from DC, Marvel and even Stranger Things characters showing up in the Battle Royale game. The latest of these crossovers will see The Merc with a Mouth, aka Deadpool, making an appearance.
Deadpool forms part of the Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 2 update and was revealed during the Battle Pass trailer. Wade Wilson is also seen bathing in a ridiculous pile of V-Bucks in the new promotional artwork.
The new update will also see the character giving players weekly challenges, including the fourth-wall-breaking mission to find a letter he sent to Epic Games.
Epic has yet to announce how many of these challenges players would need to complete before they can unlock their very own Deadpool skin. The in-game skin is purely cosmetic, but who wouldn’t want to look like Deadpool while killing off a few competitors in Fortnite?
The Chapter 2 Season 2 trailer showcased some of the other new skins coming to the game, such as a very peculiar muscular cat, a golden armed character named Midas and many more.
Along with the new skins come new weapons, including new decoy grenades, proximity mines and disguises to make sure you have everything you need to be the best Fortnite spy you can be.
As part of the new season, players will be asked to choose a side, which will net them special rewards for completing challenges. This fits in perfectly with the spy theme. The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks or around $9.50.
