Bethesda released a new trailer for Fallout 76 during Gamescom 2018, teaching us more about living the new American Dream.
The latest Fallout 76 trailer focuses on how to live the new American Dream (after the nukes destroyed the old one) and building upon the rubble of the post-nuclear war civilisation. The trailer introduces us to the C.A.M.P or Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform, from which your new base will blossom and expand. The C.A.M.P will allow players to create various items needed to build bases, fill their tummies and help with the everyday life of being a nuclear survivor. Luckily you won’t have to survive alone as the game will see you teaming up with other survivors helping them become part of this new utopia. Of course, expanding your influence and base means harvesting all kinds of resources and protecting it from the various irradiated dangers that dwell on the wasteland. There has been quite an uproar about the game moving its focus from a single-player campaign to a more multiplayer-focused one, but it seems even with this big change the game will still be the Fallout we’ve all come to love, albeit with some friends breathing down our necks.
Only once you’ve successfully combined all these elements (building, gathering, making friends and killing) will you truly be living the dream life you were meant to live along with your new fellow survivors. Who said living in a nuclear wasteland has to be all bad, especially when you have friends by your side to help fend off those pesky Deathclaws?
Fallout 76 is set to release in November 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with a beta period being held prior to the game’s launch.
