At an official media event on Sunday, 26th February, ahead of the MWC in Barcelona, which kicks off on the 27th, LG has revealed its new flagship, the LG G6.
At a time of year often reserved for the next big Samsung Galaxy launch, LG took the initiative by stealing the headlines with the smartphone the company claims is the “next-generation smartphone consumers have been waiting for.”
Unlike last year’s modular approach, 2017 features a more straight-forward release from LG. The LG G6 sports a 5.7″ screen with a 2,880×1,440px resolution, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU, 4GB RAM, and your choice of 32 or 64GB RAM. The unit measures 148.9×71.9×7.9mm and weighs 163g. For all your daily snap requirements, the G6 has a 13MP Wide/Standard rear camera, 5MP Wide front camera. In terms of connectivity, the unit features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, with LTE-A 3 Band C network connectivity. The unit runs the latest Android 7.0 OS, with a 3,300mAh battery and also an IP68 water and dust resistant capability.
