Netflix has pulled out all the stops for the upcoming third season of the popular series, Stranger Things. With a number of tie-ins with numerous pop-culture icons already, including Nike and Google, as well as a game on the way, Netflix has partnered with Levi’s® for a capsule collection, which will include products for both men and women.
Levi’s is a brand steeped in history, having been setting the benchmark for close to 150 years now. As such, any movie or TV show based in the 80s, not only screams nostalgia but has a noticeable presence of Levi’s scattered throughout.
Stranger Things is no stranger to the brand, with it being the staple of the team’s 80s fashion, sporting a wide array of Levi’s products. The Levi’s design team worked directly with the Stranger Things wardrobe team on the third season, leveraging its extensive archives to help create the perfect, period-correct costuming for a wide range of characters on the hit show.
With the new season taking place in 1985, the design team worked with the show’s costume designers to create special, authentically replicated Levi’s looks for two fan-favourites on the show, Eleven and Dustin. The looks created for the show will now also be available to purchase by the public as part of the special capsule, the Levi’s® X Stranger Things collection.
The capsule will include a range of tees, hoodies, sweatshirts and jeans, celebrating the various elements of the show. With various influences from the show, the apparel will include Stranger Things graphics and phrases, jeans with hi-res character images, as well as special edition sundries, like the upside down patches and red tabs – a not to the “Upside Down.”
The Levi’s® X Stranger Things collection is set to drop on 1 July 2019, a few days ahead of the third season drop on 4 July, with the collection of apparel available across the world.
