What do you get when LEGO and video games collide? The latest entry in the toys-to-life genre, LEGO Dimensions.
Ster-Kinekor in association with Warner Bros. Interactive announced that LEGO Dimensions would, at last, be coming to South Africa on the 26th of August 2016.
LEGO Dimensions allows LEGO fans to combine their favorite LEGO entertainment franchise universes including DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, but to name a few. The game combines physical LEGO sets and minifigures with interactive console gameplay in a manner that hasn’t been possible before. LEGO Dimensions offers a bridge between the digital and physical play. Mario Dos Santos, Chief Executive Officer, Ster-Kinekor Entertainment said that they have been eagerly waiting for the title to become available in South Africa.
“We are extremely proud and very excited to inform our local consumers that the highly anticipated LEGO Dimensions will be available from the 26th August 2016 in South Africa through major retailers. This eagerly awaited title will be available for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One for a recommended retail price of R1499.99 as well as PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 for R1299.99; we will also be distributing the expansions packs, including Funny Packs at a RRP of R249, Team Packs at R399 and Level Packs at R449.”
In addition to the starter set that will include four minifigures, there will also be additional expansion packs available . These will include Level Packs, Team Packs and Funny packs of well-known properties, and will be fully interchangeable.
We have been waiting patiently ever since LEGO Dimensions was announced and it great news that we will soon be able to get our hands on it.
