Back in 2019, whispers on the internet seemed to indicate that a new Tony Hawk game was in development. Now, new leaks seem to confirm the rumour.
Last year Twitter user Sabi Wabii, who has been quite reliable in the past, suggested that a prototype of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 had been doing the rounds at Activision. Sabi, however, made it clear that it hasn’t been confirmed whether these prototypes were for testing or if both games were actually being remade or remastered.
Explanation of what I shared in my server:
An Activision contact told me a week or so ago about how Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 had demos/prototypes remade. They went around internally. I didn’t share before as I wasnt sure if they were being remade as full games, or just a test— Sabi Wabii 🌹 (@SabiWabii) November 24, 2019
During a podcast back in October, professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto commented that a new Tony Hawk game was coming out and that she’d be in it too. The latest leak comes via punk band The Death Set, who posted that they just licensed 5 new songs to a Tony Hawk 2020 game. The Facebook post has since been removed but not before it was spotted by Twitter user TheNathanNS.
New Tony Hawk Pro Skater game inbound!
Keeping hopes low after the long, long row of abysmal games since Tony Hawk’s RIDE.
But this also seems like a major NDA breach. pic.twitter.com/gGUiNZL6i8

As expected, Activision has been suspiciously quiet regarding the matter but, with a noticeable lack of skateboard games on the market, now might be a great time to revive the Tony Hawk franchise.
