According to a new leaked Overwatch trailer released on PlayStation France’s YouTube account, Blizzard will be unveiling a new event today, titled “Insurrection”.
The leaked Overwatch video seems to show that the event will be taking place roughly seven years ago during the King’s Row uprising. When, according to Overwatch mythos, Jack Morrison (Soldier 76) defied a direct order not to intervene during the uprising and sent in a team of four Overwatch members including, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, Tracer, and Mercy.
The trailer also shows off some of the new skins that will be available during the event and includes the bad ass not fully robotic Genji skin (which I want really badly). It also seems that the event will feature a new 4-player PvE game mode similar to the one that was part of last years Halloween event where players will be fighting off waves of enemies, in this case, Omnics.
The event is slated to start on the 11th of April and run until the 1st of March according to the video. You can probably expect the English version of the trailer to be released soon.
