One of the biggest secrets in the gaming industry right now is what exactly Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Games is working on. Thanks to a new leak, it seems that their next rumoured game, called Outlaws, will surprise many.
According to leaked marketing material that was posted on both 4Chan and ResetEra, Rocksteady’s new game is not a new Arkham game but instead a game called Outlaws that will feature the Red Hood and the entire cast of the Suicide Squad.
It is rumoured that the game will release in early 2020. The leak also seem to indicate that the game’s reveal trailer will be released by Warner Bros. on the 26th of April. Gasp, that is this Friday.
Following the CG reveal trailer, according to the leaks at least, Warner Bros. will release a Gotham trailer showing off the city as one of the playable areas in the game followed by a Star City version.
A separate leak also suggests that the game might be a live service game, in a similar vein as Ubisoft’s The Division series, and will feature online multiplayer, loot, team-focused gameplay and of course branching storylines.
According to the leak, Warner Bros. will also be sharing teasers on their social media accounts before the game is revealed. So, if these rumours ring true, expect to see some teases pretty soon.
As with all rumours, this should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, should this prove true, this will no doubt make fans of the Arkham series, and gamers looking for a single player DC experience, very angry.
I guess we will just have to wait and see if Outlaws truly exists.
