The latest trailer for Sony Bend’s Days Gone gives us more insight into protagonist Deacon St John’s tragic past.
As can be expected of most protagonist’s who find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world filled with freakers (zombies), Deacon St John from the upcoming Days Gone also seems to have an emotional and tragic past, according to the latest trailer for the game.
The trailer starts by giving us a glimpse into Deacon’s past, as he reminisces about his wedding day. Of course, things quickly take a turn for the worst as he is suddenly attacked by a group of raiders, which, as expected, then attracts the attention of a huge horde of freakers. It great to see that Deacon isn’t just your typical muscle-bound tough guy but that he has a more emotional side to him.
While we initially were concerned that Days Gone would just be another cole of zombie games that came before, it’s great to see that there might be more to the game than we initially anticipated. The world looks stunning, in a deadly sort of way, the freakers and humans that roam the wilds look like formidable foes and Deacon seems like a protagonist we can get behind.
After a few delays last year, Days Gone is finally set for release in April 2019 and we can’t wait to bash in some freaker heads and cruise around the wilds on our customised motorcycle.
