Warner Brothers Pictures has released 12 minutes of footage from the upcoming Tomb Raider film spliced together from various clips.
The footage from the film gives us a bit more insight into Lara and her motivations and, as with any good Tomb Raider game, it also features Lara barely escaping from the clutches of death.
Based on the popular game franchise, the film follows the titular Lara Croft, a fiery and independent young daughter of an adventurer who disappears under mysterious circumstances. Years later as a 21-year-old without much of a purpose, Lara has refused to become part of the family business and instead decides to forge her own way through life. But Lara finds herself drawn to the mystery surrounding her father’s death and as she goes in search of answers. Discovering that a mythical tomb on a Japanese Island might contain the answers she seeks Lara sets off on a journey that will test every once of her resolve.
Directed by Roar Uthaug, the film stars Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins Kirsten Scott Thomas and Daniel Wu.
Tomb Raider is set for release in March 2018.
