Konami confirmed that a beta for Metal Gear Survive, a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid V, would be heading to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month.
Metal Gear Survive is the first game in the series to be released after creator Hideo Kojima left Konami. This, of course, has left fans of the series sceptical about the new entry which is set to change up the formula we’ve come to love quite a bit. On the positive side, it’s great to see Konami releasing a beta, which will give those uncertain of the game a chance to try it out.
The game’s beta will run from the 18th of January to the 21st of January 2018 for both consoles and will provide players with the opportunity to jump into co-op mode. Of course, those who participate in the beta will receive some bonus goodies to use in the full game, such as a FOXHOUND nameplate and a Metal Gear Rex head accessory.
Along with the news of the beta, Konami also released an official single-player gameplay trailer which provides players with some insight into what players can expect when going it alone in Metal Gear Survive.
