After months of trying to figure out just what the heck Hideo Kojima‘s Death Stranding is about, the mind behind the game has finally released a 50-minute trailer showcasing just how the game plays.
In the Death Stranding gameplay trailer narrated by Kojima, we see some of the game’s mechanics will work including some of the game’s RPG mechanics.
Something that seems to play a huge role in the game is weight, meaning that you will need to carefully decide what you take with you and what you leave behind as you explore this eerily quiet yet beautiful world.
Along with the gameplay trailer, Kojima also released a short briefing trailer that further explains the game’s plot. As previously explained, the game sees you taking on the role of Norman Reedus’ character, Sam, as he travels across a future version of America reconnecting communications along the way.
While this might at first seem boring, the footage actually does include some sneaking and even a surprising amount of action. Judging from the footage, the game will include some rather terrifying enemy encounters in between all the exploration.
It’s great that Kojima has finally lifted the veil somewhat on this highly anticipated game.
