“My wife is dead. My name disgraced. My friends are tortured and hanged,” narrates Kit Harington‘s Robert Catesby in the first look at the upcoming BBC three-part series Gunpowder.
Game of Thrones Season 7 has just ended. Luckily, fans won’t have to suffer from too much Kit Harington withdrawal as the actor will shortly appear in the new BBC One miniseries, Gunpowder, alongside Peter Mullan, Liv Tyler, Peter Mullan, Edward Holcroft, and Shaun Dooley. Based on the true story of Guy Fawkes Day, the series follows the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, a plan to blow up the House of Lords and assassinate King James I in order to restore a Catholic to the throne of England. Harington stars as Robert Catesby, a Warwickshire gentleman who masterminded the plan.
Gunpowder, however, still does not have a specific air date. However, we imagine that it will be somewhere around November 5th.
