Kevin Conroy is a name synonymous with Batman. He is the man behind the voice of one of the most recognised superheroes. With Conroy having voiced the Dark Knight across multiple animated shows and video games, one might have thought that he would be the first choice to voice the character in the rumoured upcoming game from WB Montreal. Well, it looks like that might not actually be the case.
In a recent interview with JOE, Conroy confirmed that he has will not be voicing Batman in the rumoured game. He added that he has no idea why he wasn’t approached for the job.
It is important to note that Conroy did voice the Caped Crusader in all three of the RockSteady games but, for Batman Arkham Origins, WB Montreal hired a different actor. Instead the Dark Knight was voiced by Roger Craig Smith. He did an admirable job but, let’s be honest, wasn’t our favourite. It seems likely that Roger Craig Smith might once again be WB Montreal’s choice to voice Batman, which might be a little disappointing for fans of the franchise.
The next Batman game is rumoured to involve the infamous Court of Owls, with the developer having teased this multiple times over the past few months. Many have suggested that we could see the game officially revealed at The Game Awards at the end of the year.
