Jordan Vogt-Roberts has made Hideo Kojima fans very jealous. It seems the Kong: Skull Island director got the chance to play his highly anticipated next game Death Stranding before everyone else.
So @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN let me play DEATH STRANDING❗️The world is next-level immaculate. It’s like freebasing pure Kojima & Shinkawa. Remember when FURY ROAD blew you away but also made you (in the best-most-thankful way) ask “wtf” how does this miracle exist? YOU. ARE. NOT. READY❗️ pic.twitter.com/RkVxtZCcbj

Vogt-Roberts, who is also the director of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film, tweeted a picture of himself, Hideo Kojima and artist Yoji Shinkawa, who is known for his Metal Gear Solid character designs. It seems that he was given the chance to play the mysterious game as he commented on how blown away he was by the game. He went on to explain how it reminded him of Mad Max: Fury Road, in that the film blew people away when it first released.
Vogt-Roberts isn’t the only one who has had a chance to see the game in action as a few developers from Guerrilla Games, the guys behind Horizon Zero Dawn, recently commented on how amazing and masterful the game was, and that it left them speechless.

In a recent interview Metro, actor Norman Reedus, who plays the role of Death Stranding‘s protagonist, Sam Bridges, spoke about how the concept of the game is “so far out into the future”. He also commented that, although the trailers that have been released so far does show aspects of the game, it doesn’t give you the whole picture of what the game is. He further helped build the hype by mentioning that he’s never seen anything like it.
One thing is for sure, there is definitely a lot of mystery surrounding Death Standing. Hopefully, we will get to see more of this strange game in the next few months.
