An IMDb listing for Thor: Ragnarok reveals that everybody’s favourite wrestler John Cena has joined the listing for Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Ragnarok is partly adapting the Marvel Comics Planet Hulk story and features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role. So who is John Cena (who voiced the Hulk in the Marvel Avengers Academy game) playing? Probably himself.
Marvel has a long history with casting wrestlers in their films. From Dave Bautista as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy or the late Macho Man Randy Savage in Spider-Man it’s something that they definitely aren’t against.
Thor: Raganarok has a November 3, 2017 release date and is being directed by Taika Waititi.
