British actor John Boyega says he has moved on from Finn, a character he played in the most recent Star Wars trilogy.
The actor made the comments on Instagram after a fan expressed interest in seeing him return to the Star Wars galaxy.
Commenting on a photo that Boyega captioned “Back on set”, a user wrote…
“Force Finn in action with green lightsaber dressed in black is all I want from the next SW film!”
But Boyega replied less enthusiastically about a possible return…
“Lol no thank you. I’ve moved on [heart emoji].”
Then, another user went on to imply that he used the role for a quick cash grab, saying…
“Really just got those Disney bucks and dipped [laugh crying emoji]”
To which Boyega responded…
“Nope. Not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That’s all.”

The actor made no further comments as fans went on to discuss the quality of his latest movies. Boyega has expressed his desire to move on from the Star Wars franchise in the past.
After a user on Twitter described Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as “embarrassing” back in April, Boyega said…
“Embarrassing ? LOL you wish. Very fulfilling. Some disappointments, but yet not that big of a deal. Everyone has moved on.”
John Boyega played Finn in three movies in the Star Wars franchise – The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise Of Skywalker. He also appeared in the short film Rise Of The Resistance and voiced the character in the Forces Of Destiny television series.
The actor’s current roles include the Steve McQueen series, Small Axe, on BBC and a feature film called Naked Singularity.
