Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who appeared as Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has always been a fan of DC. Most probably because he prefers the darker nature of the characters. Last year he expressed his interest in playing Flashpoint Batman in the Flash solo film. However, now that it seems that it won’t be happening anymore, Morgan has shifted his interest to playing another DC badass, Lobo.

Earlier this month, the actor, who previously starred as The Comedian in Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Watchmen, appeared at the Walker Stalker Con and expressed his thoughts on playing DC’s Main Man. “The only one I want to play is DC and Lobo. He’s badass,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan said. Marvel, I don’t know, everyone that’s in it is pretty good. I feel like all the greatest characters, they’re working.”
Of course, it wasn’t long after that his DC co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who will be playing Black Adam in the DCEU, took to Twitter to endorse the idea.
The alien bounty hunter is set to appear in Season 2 of David S. Goyer’s Krypton as a villain next year. A Lobo movie has been in the works for years. With Michael Bay currently in negotiations to direct, it doesn’t seem so far fetched. The Walking Dead star might get his wish.
